SBFM is proud to announce that we have been awarded gold SafeContractor Accreditation and gold standard sustainability verification (SafePQQ) for our commitment to achieving excellent health and safety standards, as well as sustainability procedures and policies.

SafeContractor

Alcumus SafeContractor is a leading third-party accreditation scheme which recognises extremely rigorous standards in health and safety management amongst contractors. It is used by thousands of organisations in the UK including SMEs and FTSE 100 companies.

Under the scheme, contractors can be awarded one of three levels of verification, with only businesses upholding the strictest standards achieving the highest GOLD award.

Being rewarded the health and safety accreditation demonstrates to SBFM’s customers and businesses alike that we meet meticulous health and safety expectations, standards and precautions.

As well as providing clients with a professional demonstration of SBFM’s competency in health and safety practices, this latest achievement further demonstrates the company’s dedication to corporate social responsibility, diversity, equality, and wellbeing.

By working with a SafeContractor verified FM partner, customers have the reassurance that they are dealing with a responsibly run business, with a proven commitment to the highest possible standards, positive impacts on society, ethical behaviours and minimising impact on the environment.

In achieving the Gold Sustainability Verification (SafePQQ), SBFM will continue to uphold ethical business practices, with policies governing issues including modern slavery, anti-corruption and equal opportunities, amongst others.

Peter Whalen, Health & Safety Manager at SBFM, said: “In the facilities management industry, establishing a strong professional reputation is fundamental. SBFM’s industry-leading service, talented people and superior technology suite mean we already deliver our services to leading brands across a range of industries, but without first-rate health and safety supporting these services it means very little.

“As a company we believe that they demonstrate our unwavering commitment to the health, safety and wellbeing of our workforce and wider supply chain, providing our clients with reassurance that our health and safety processes are well managed and up to date.”

This accreditation is in addition to the existing broad portfolio of certifications and accreditations including ISO14001, 9001 and 45001, to name a few.
