Learning Disability Week – Meet Uriah

Learning Disability Week is a crucial time to promote inclusivity and celebrate the resilience and strength of individuals with learning difficulties who strive to overcome barriers and achieve remarkable things.

This week, we had the privilege of sitting down with Uriah, one of our incredible colleagues at PureGym. Despite facing learning difficulties, cerebral palsy, and deafness, Uriah exemplifies diligence, hard work, and inspiration in so many ways.

During our conversation, Uriah shared insights into his experiences, passions, and future ambitions.

We also had the pleasure of speaking with his mother, Cath. She discussed the support Uriah has received and how SBFM’s Evolve programme is making a significant impact by promoting social mobility for disadvantaged and marginalised groups.
