EVOLVE CANDIDATES
Building career pathways for people in disadvantaged groups.
SBFM employs thousands of people in frontline facilities management roles to work across our diverse portfolio of clients.
With Evolve, our aim is to not just provide jobs, but meaningful careers. We prioritise candidate support through comprehensive training, coaching, and mentoring sessions, empowering them to transition into roles with our clients who can offer them a different career path.
As an Evolve candidate, you will gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to seamlessly move into a new position with an SBFM client.
How does Evolve work?
Evolve was created from our desire to provide opportunities for individuals facing challenges in securing employment.
We begin by aiding in the rehabilitation and reintegration of individuals into the workforce, offering them a role with SBFM as a starting point. Evolve then paves the way for career development, whether within SBFM or through a client partner in a different industry.
As an SBFM employee working on the client’s site, you’ll immerse yourself in their business operations, culture, and values. Simultaneously, we’ll create and implement a bespoke training plan on our online platform, SBFM Learn, preparing you for any potential job openings with the client.
Transforming life opportunities
From hospitality to health and fitness, to many other sectors, Evolve has been instrumental in providing wider opportunities to disadvantaged individuals who previously struggled with their career journey.
There are many more groups of people we open pathways for.
We work closely with ex-offenders, a group often overlooked by employers hesitant to take a chance. Through a strategic partnership with the Timpson Foundation, we offer training, educational opportunities, and paid employment to support their transition back into the community.
We also support individuals transitioning out of the care system. This phase can be overwhelming, especially for those lacking prior work experience. In partnership with the Care Leaver Covenant, we deliver comprehensive skills training, building confidence among care leavers and empowering them to apply for roles with avenues for career development.
Our commitment extends to a diverse range of individuals, including those with visible and invisible disabilities, former sports professionals, long-term unemployed, veterans, refugees, and others facing barriers to employment, such as homelessness.
