Financial pressures don’t stay at home – they often carry into the workplace, impacting focus, confidence, and overall performance. Supporting colleagues to better understand and manage these challenges is an important part of creating a healthier, more productive working environment.
As part of our Learn at Lunch series, we recently welcomed Naj Devgun, Director of 20:20 Financial Planning Ltd, to share practical guidance on managing financial stress. With a background as a regulated financial adviser, practising solicitor, and certified money coach, Naj brings a unique blend of technical expertise and a people-first approach – helping individuals feel more informed, in control, and confident in their financial decisions.
The session explored common financial pressures, from everyday money management to unexpected costs, alongside simple, actionable steps to build financial resilience. A key takeaway was the value of small, consistent actions – showing how even minor changes can help reduce stress and improve overall wellbeing.
It also reinforced a broader point: when colleagues feel more in control of their finances, it has a direct impact on their wellbeing, engagement, and ability to perform at their best.
A big thank you to Naj for sharing his expertise. By creating space for open, practical conversations like this, we’re helping colleagues build confidence, reduce financial stress, and feel supported both at work and beyond.
