Puregym contract extension with SBFM

We’ve secured a two-year contract extension with PureGym

We’re pleased to announce that our partnership with PureGym, the UK’s leading gym operator, has been extended for a further two years – building on a successful relationship that first began in 2022.

Under the renewed agreement, we’ll continue delivering soft facilities management services across an expanded estate of 435 PureGym sites nationwide. Over 800 SBFM colleagues will now support the contract, providing high-quality cleaning services alongside wider operational support including audits, team training, and onboarding for new starters.

As PureGym continues to grow, this contract renewal reflects the strength of our partnership and shared commitment to innovation, performance, and service excellence.

The extension also includes the supply of new equipment to support further operational efficiencies. Through our flexible workforce model, we’ll continue to provide responsive support across all locations – including holiday, sickness, and peak period cover.

Technology continues to be a key driver in our delivery model. From live reporting dashboards and client portals to performance data and real-time insight, we’re proud to support PureGym with tools that enhance service delivery, reduce costs, and enable continuous improvement.

We’ll also continue working together through our award-winning Evolve programme, which helps individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds access sustainable employment. Through Evolve, team members receive tailored support, training, and opportunities to grow their careers – both within SBFM and across the wider PureGym network.

Our Business Unit Director, Johanna Annetts, said:
“We’ve built an optimal relationship by streamlining our delivery to help PureGym remain the cost-competitive, flexible gym choice on the market. We’re supporting new formats of gyms and redesigning our cleaning models to fit its innovations, ensuring we evolve alongside its business needs.”

Martyn Brett-Lee, UK Managing Director at PureGym, added:
“Cleanliness is a priority when it comes to creating a great experience and providing the best spaces for our members. SBFM has been helping us achieve that for years, and we’re delighted to continue this successful partnership as we expand our estate across the UK.”

This extension marks another important milestone in our growth across the UK’s leisure, hospitality, and retail sectors – and we’re excited to continue delivering future-fit FM services that put people, purpose, and performance at the heart of everything we do.
