Since 2020 we’ve been working with a global management, engineering, and development consultancy. Headquartered in London, with 27 total sites in the UK and offices in another 150 countries, they deliver internationally renowned projects and work to meet some of the world’s greatest challenges.

The problem

Due to the large size and global spread of the company they had minimal interaction and engagement with the previous contractor’s off-site management.

 

This disconnect negatively affected decision-making for frontline employees and hindered performance evaluation.

 

As a result, standards were falling short of what was expected and the company lacked the necessary evaluation processes to both identify and rectify this.

 

As well as this, the client was failing to meet its own sustainability and environmental objectives.

 

 They’d challenged themselves to reduce the volume of single-use plastics consumed as well as introducing environmentally friendly cleaning agents into their operations.

The RESULTS

The SOLUTION

Our Optimise platform impressed the company with its exceptional transparency and enhanced KPI performance evaluation. Backed by our experienced team, we assured the client we could meet all goals and because of this we were selected to be their FM provider. We deliver a range of services across the client’s national estate of 27 offices, including:

We implemented a series of improvements in performance management, including a tailored KPI suite for monthly reports and collaborative electronic audits with the client’s office managers. As well as this, comprehensive management information, with weekly updates on crucial aspects, was made accessible 24/7 through our Optimise client portal. To promote sustainability, we introduced eco-friendly cleaning products and strategies. This included implementing the Tersano Lotus® PRO High-Capacity cleaning system at the client’s flagship site, offering a powerful environmentally friendly solution. We deployed the DuoMax General Purpose Cleaner and Disinfectant across all offices, an eco-safe alternative free of chlorine, bleach, and alcohol. We also packaged these solutions in recycled plastic spray bottles to minimise single-use plastics.

 

The TUPE transfer of long-standing employees was supported through proactive onboarding, including holding SBFM Road Shows to allow for open and honest discussions in a relaxed setting. Payroll issues were addressed in advance with the “Has the Penny Dropped?” exercise, providing £0.01 to all employees upon receiving ELI information.

The CONCLUSION

We’ve recently signed a contract to provide FM services to the client for another 3 years, highlighting how our excellent work has transformed their business. Thanks to our proactive engagement with management, the client has seen real improvements in communication, better on-site supervision, and overall performance.
